The
Chicago dirt riders shoe drive was in full swing last March 14 @Chuck's pad. It was a fun filled evening since it was also St. Patrick's Day. The green beer was spilling all over minus the cabbage and corned beef. The shoes will be sent to the Philippines as soon as they reach a certain number of pairs for the current CDR project hand in hand with ZAMNAI. Check out CDR Gives Back for details. If you any athletic shoes between the sizes of 7 to 11 that you don't want to wear anymore. PLEASE donate it to CDR by calling or e mailing us. The shoes will benefit the Cor Jesu Seminarians and The ZN Boxers. The project is spearheaded by Alvin Ang the current CDR President and Zamnai sports and Development Director.

CDR Gives Back !On my recent trip to the Philippines last January, I made sure the projects that we had started will be followed up. These are humanitarian projects that focus heavily on sports and youth development. The seven day trip was just enough for follow ups and even created more. Last spring when the Ducks Unlimited Football Club solicited from CDR soccer uniforms, we sent them the funds but has not seen the uniforms  personally. I met up with the group and to my surprise they wore the  uniforms that carried the CDR name and logo on them. It was amazing how grateful they are and they made me proud. A Soccer Championship League this spring will be sponsored by ZAMNAI in cooperation with CDR and ZN United, of course The Ducks will be there to represent us. More power to you guys!

          THE FUTURE PRIESTS

I went to visit the COR JESU SEMINARY in Mibang, one thing
caught my attention, the school has two basketball courts but they only have one basketball that was balding and these kids sometimes play with sandals and beat up shoes. I ended up donating to the seminarians two new Spalding basketballs and a promise to collect slightly used shoes back here in the States ..and send to them. The shoe drive is ongoing and
hopefully  they  will get them by summer.

THE LITTLE PACQUIAOS From Dipolog City

My brother (Ivan Ang )has started this project last summer, recruiting boxers from all over the province and house them and train them at the ZN Sports Complex.  We sent them last summer a set of training paraphernalia that were already set up on the small training facility. These kids train very well yet the lack of good shoes is always a dilemma. Besides the mask, gloves and speed punching ball that we already sent, we are giving them training shoes as well.

Really for real I met up with Father Patangan who will be assisting us  in pursuing some if not all of these projects. We came up with a name. Its called "HULOG NG LANGIT". His sky jumping team will be parachuting these summer and will be bringing with them medical supplies, shoes etc. to be given to the kids that we all promise. I am urging all CDR members to donate your slightly used shoes on our next  meeting, popular sizes are between 7 to 11.I sincerely thank you in  advance for your generosity.
